Alex Grimmer and William Kidd

Alex Grimmer's studio is Deadwax Art.  He cuts vinyl records with a heated exacto knife and then polishes them into portraits or other art representing the musicians on the records from which the work is derived.  Here we have Cher and Johnny Cash.

William Kidd is a potter who creates colorful organic but imaginary forms.

The Johnny Cash one really stands out, Jack.

He looks a bit stiff, unusual art. Will check out his site.

Never thought of old vinyl records as raw material for art. That is creative. Both these artists are unique.

The record art is unique. The pottery really suits Florida.

Good to see a ceramic artist. I kind of like Cher's portrait, with the cat!
