One of my favorite houses on Main Street -- there is stiff competition -- is this yellow Victorian house dating to about 1865. I like the green shutters and the coordinating yellow barn. The house displays bunting and American flags all summer long.
I grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts in a yellow Victorian house from around 1870, with green shutters and a yellow barn. We had a flag pole out front but didn't hang bunting or flags on the house.
The familiarity appeals to me, but I would love this place even without the architectural similarity to my childhood home.

It is certainly beautiful!
It's a beautiful house, Jack.
A fine looking, elegant house occupied by people who like to garden and grow plants.
It is quite distinctive, Jack.
I don't understand why they have the flags like that, but it's a beautiful old house.
It is distinctive.
