Pierre Grandmaison is the longtime organist of the Basilica de Notre Dame in Montreal.
We were treated to an hour-long talk about the organ, with Grandmaison giving examples of its many tones. Then he played several Bach pieces, a wedding march and improvisations on the theme of Amazing Grace. Superb. For me, it was the highlight of this trip to Montreal.

What a beautiful church, Jack! During one of our Doors Open events I happened upon an organist giving a talk and performance in a chapel and it too was wonderful!
