Four long monochrome photographs by Andrew Buck were exhibited in a gallery at Real Art Ways.
They showed a quarry. I thought they were mundane, even though they were huge.
The three people in the center studied the main photograph for quite a while.
If they could find something interesting, they must be smarter than I am.
A second gallery exhibited Sideways into the Shadows, a series of portraits sketched by John Kelly.
These portraits are Kelly's way of remembering and honoring friends and creative
influences affected by the AIDS epidemic.

The spaces look interesting but it is too bad the art didn't make a great statement for you, Jack.
The portraits are quite striking. I find with contemporary art that it really depends on the specific piece.
I have seen similar AIDS exhibits, and they are always sad to see. What a horrible disease that is as it often strikes down the young and creative. Have to take your word for the panorama photo.
I usually enjoy a good panorama photo if it looks like the photographer knows what he or she is doing.
I sometimes find that people who are lingering in front of a piece of art may be talking about something completely unrelated to it.
