Needing to feed his growing family, the artist Raymond Lutgert began building modest homes in Chicago to house returning veterans after World War II. Vacationing in southwest Florida in the 1960s, he bought 600 acres in Park Shore and began building bigger Naples residences.
Fast forward to the 1990s and the Lutgert companies were a major force in Naples real estate, building high end homes and high rise towers. Once the population reached a critical mass,
Lutgert built commercial buildings along Route 41. This is the local office of
Northern Trust, with the sculpture Genesis by Raymond Lutgert in front.

You might enjoy sampling a video about his sculptures.
Mr. Lutgert died in 2011, leaving a legacy of philanthropy, art and well designed neighborhoods.

Classy and eye popping.
I like it!
I like it too, Jack!
Mr Lutgert was a mega enterprising man Jack, was pleased to see him getting more time later in life to spend on his sculptures.
Wonderful when successful people share their wealth.
Quite a contrast between building and sculpture!
