Cassandra is an X-Ray technician. She works in Hartford but recently moved to Philadelphis to be with her fiancee. She was in Elizabeth Park to make arrangements for a baby shower for her sister.
Cassandra's son is six years old. He has sickle cell disease, a painful blood condition.
Cassandra explained how watchful she has to be. September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, and Cassandra volunteers to speak to community groups about the disease.

As always... another nice portrait Jack.
She is a very photogenic woman.
Lovely. She has to be strong because of her son's illness. One of my former young colleagues died of that dread disease, and I was amazed at his strength during the few short years that I knew him. I sincerely hope that her journey includes strong people walking along with her!
Gosh Cassandra is gorgeous Jack, behind that wonderful smile I think there is a strong, determined woman!
My best wishes for her son's health, she looks great!
She's beautiful. Sad about her son, though. Love the name, too.
Beautiful shot! My thoughts for her son.
You did a fine job capturing Cassandra's beauty.
Jack, you do manage to find beautiful women to model for you. She sounds like a caring mother who is doing well in life. We can all wish her well.
BTW, "Lakes pipes" refers to large, straight through exhaust pipes. The names comes from the exhaust pipes found on Bonneville Salt Lake race cars. This style dates back to at least the 1940s.
She is a gorgeous woman, Jack!
Great series of portraits at Elizabeth Park. This woman could easily be a model - great smile.
Stunning, you have done justice to her beauty with your portraits. Love that necklace too!
A beautiful, strong woman and another superb capture, Jack!! Suck a lovely smile!! Hope you have a great weekend!!
Wonderful portraits- quite a strong woman.
Too bad I don't need x-rays done.
