Matt was originally an architect, but the photo printing business his wife Marilu started was
growing and needed help, so he joined her. This year the business is celebrating its tenth year.
Their showroom has several enlargements of panoramic photographs printed on
polished aluminum. Wonderful! The aluminum surface offers great clarity and luminance.
The most amazing thing is that they were all taken with iPhones!!

I have a large pic printed on aluminum that a photographer friend did and the aluminum seems to add some wonderful depth to the image.
ReplyDeleteI have seen some art work on aluminum in color but have not seen any black and white. Perhaps we should all try one and then post them?
ReplyDeleteAmazing!! Another great, different post/photo for the day, Jack! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWould be fun to create such a print. I have many 360 panoramic images that would work.
ReplyDeleteI just had a couple of prints done on polished aluminum, one from Venice and an abstract I took here. They both turned out gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBack again. NYTimes Travel section today has an article on Naples. If you haven't seen it, take a look!
ReplyDeletePrinting on aluminum would be quite the treat.

Excellent portrait shot!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed with the detail possible with an iPhone image.
ReplyDeleteMakes me even more determined to get something printed!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a fun, and creative business.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot.
ReplyDeleteIt's truly amazing what an iPhone can do!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I have no idea where I'd look around here for something like that. We have our choice of Costco and Walmart if we want to go "local."
