This weekend I have been in my hometown. I went to the high school.
This ball was lying on the basketball court, so old that I probably left it there when I played.
That was a long, long time ago.
How long ago?
Let me put it this way.
Our trophy is the oldest one in the display case.

Hmmm. I smiled when I read that your trophy was the oldest one. Do you remember when we couldn't trust anyone over 30?
ReplyDeleteReally nice shot Jack!
ReplyDeleteYou captured this old timer very nicely. I believe my hight school is having a reunion this weekend but, I didn't go. I have another trip coming up later this month and I couldn't do both.
ReplyDeleteDid you manage to get up OK after taking that shot?
ReplyDeleteI would say this b-ball has been broken in quite well.
ReplyDeleteYou are walking again after taking this shot!! -- I was thinking the same thing as John!!! Fun looking back, isn't it!! Have a great new week with camera in hand!
ReplyDeleteTerrific reflections on that shiny floor. Love your perspective featuring a well worn basketball. I'm much better shooting with a camera than a basketball.
ReplyDeleteI was in the first graduating class from my high school so all the stuff from our class is the oldest! I'm not sure if I like that. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a well used basketball.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll ever go back to my old high school.
Nice composition.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. So I take it the school just never had any champions until you came along.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! I fled my high school and haven't looked back. What's humbling these days is that stuff I grew up with is now being called "antique."
ReplyDeleteA trophy is a trophy, it doesn't matter how old it is...
ReplyDeleteJack you have a good eye for what needs to be photographed.
ReplyDeleteI like a lot the idea of this picture, the close up and perfect reflections!Very well done!
ReplyDeleteLéia
Old is GOOD!! The ball looks sturdy and well-used! Like many of us, it shows a life-time of good energy and fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, the floor is spotless and you can also see the reflection of the ball !
ReplyDeleteOh come on Jack, not old at all, just gently maturing :) another fab composition here.
ReplyDeletewhihihihihi!
