This is a rustic scene for a subject for photography, but the barn siding looks like it is ready to be reused for furniture, flooring, or some other use.
The viewer can't really tell if this was an old building ready to fall or new construction that met disaster. There is a puzzle here for a careful viewer.
It was a severe storm! I love b&w in this image.

Always wanted a big barn attached. Glad I never got one, because of this photo.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking a little shabby still today.
ReplyDeleteit's like a kind of jazz.

ReplyDeleteHmmmmm looks a lot like I did when I looked in the mirror this morning!!! Hope your week is going well, Jack!
ReplyDeleteSnow is rough on us all!
ReplyDeleteWow, it may not have held up well but made a compelling capture - nice b&w!
ReplyDeleteI am with Lulu. Super shot!!
ReplyDeleteVery compelling shot, Jack!
ReplyDeleteLooks like many I've seen in Maine.
ReplyDeleteSame deal in my area all the time.
ReplyDeleteI really like these kinds of photos. But I think that barn didn't have long to live even before the storm! :)

ReplyDeleteNice b&w image.
ReplyDeleteNice image. I hate to see old buildings like this go down, but they reach a point of no return, like a lot of old farms. And people. Ouch.
ReplyDeleteHope it can be repaired
ReplyDeleteoh no, poor thing!
ReplyDeleteThis saddens me deeply. Our barn is very old and is a sponge for repairs. Makes we weep to see the local barns vanish...
ReplyDeleteThat must have been quite a storm Jack, hopefully there won't be any more like this this year!
ReplyDeletePerfect in B&W!
