Children's Library

The children's floor of the West Hartford library should probably be shown from down low, the level where toddlers experience it, don't you think?

West Hartford is a cosmopolitan town, so the children's library has a Madeline doll and a small Eiffel Tower.  (Hi, Virginia and Genie!)

  1. I'm quite amazed to see computers... Hmm... from other hand that's life... everything has to change but keeping the paper book in your hand should be priceless...

  12. Begs the question, how long did it take you to get up Jack? Love your POV and j'adore la Tour EIffel. I really need that for my collection. See if you can swing a deal with the librarian for me.

  13. Great idea to get the kid's perspective, Jack! I've noticed how different things look from down low - like a dog or cat would see.

  14. Very sweet! I've photographed our children's library floor many times but was never quite satisfied with the photos - now I know what I did wrong! (Adult POV only:) What a delightful space.

  17. Point well taken and excellent observation. When I shot the children's room at our newly-renovated central library I stood, occasionally knelt, but never got all the way down on the floor.
