OK. Here is the real reason I took a trip up to MassMOCA (other than to visit an old roommate who lives nearby and who is also visiting me in Florida this week). MassMOCA has devoted an entire three-story building to an exhibition of the works of Hartford and NewBritain native, Sol Lewitt. I have shown and explained his work several times before, so I will spare you a repeat. And, I know that some readers have commented that this is not their cup of tea, so if you are in that group, sorry, you can take some time off and come back for St. Patrick's Day. Those who stay with me for the next week are in for a treat.

Sol doesn't do much for me, but to each his/her own. His stuff makes me dizzy (dizzier?).

The murals are alright, but I love the sense of space you create in your photo with the windows and their reflection. Fine composition.

Thanks for making me discover this artist, his work was very impressive, and not only because of the size of those wall drawings. The picture itself is awesome : the perspective on the three windows give quite some light to the art...

The art is interesting and the room is fantastic.
Due to the floor it seems but the colors in the reflections are so vivid... awesome!
You created your own painting down the middle. I can take or leave Lewitt. Color field stuff is okay but I prefer Rothko or old Stella (love the protractor paintings). I'm interested in following your tour.

Very lovely shot, did not know Lewitt was a Hartford native! I walk by a very energetic piece of his on the way to the athletic fields sometimes.
The two murals work for me, and I usually don't care for contemporary art.
