Downtown in the '50s

Time Machine Hobby is a huge toy store in Manchester, Connecticut.  It is the kind of place where adult men drag their kids along, to provide an excuse for the dad to play with toy trains and cars and other reminders of lost youth.  In addition to multiple train layouts, there is also at least one layout for model cars and buildings.

  7. This depicts an earlier, simpler era, when a red convertible could drive on the wrong side of the road without being ticketed.

  12. I would love to visit there. When I was a kid my dad was heavy into model trains and had his own set up in the basement. He even wrapped up train cars for each of us as our x-mas gifts one year. lol
