Kimberly Boutique

Kimberly Boutique is a store on the main street of West Hartford Center.  I have never been in the store, but I always check out their creative window displays. From what I can tell, they sell fashionable women's clothes, casual and dressy.  You saw one of their clever displays in the summer.

Above is a window display from the fall, bragging about being named to Connecticut Magazine's list of best stores for 2011.  Below is the current holiday display.  This stuff is VERY casual.

  2. Your second photo reminds me that I saw a woman wearing a bunch of lights as part of her outfit. She was a cocktail waitress in a Reno casino.

What was I doing in a Reno Casino? I stayed there for 6 weeks on business about 15 years ago, one of about 20 business trips to Reno over about a 2 year time period.

I hope I am not offending this business by comparing their window displays to a Reno casino cocktail waitress.

  3. Looks like someone has fun with the displays. Unfortunately, I don't think I could pull off anything in the second shot.

  7. It would be interesting to see one wearing those light dresses!

  8. You really have a knack for night photography in your last three posts. Excellent! If I wore any of the Christmas light dresses I would get a ticket for eye pollution:)

  9. My boutique of choice is Goodwill! They probably could take some marketing lessons from Kimberly.

  10. Fun post for the day and you do indeed have a knack for night photography! Have to agree with Kate, my boutique is Goodwill, too and they most definitely could some marketing tips!! Have a great day, Jack! Thanks for the smiles!

  13. I'm with Kate and Syliva K -- Goodwill presents my fashion choices and this time of the year it's apparel filled with down. But, of course, this cool window is giving me second thoughts. It's just the ticket for a quiet New Year's Eve...[not]

    Love your nighttime shots.

  14. That's a bit of an understatement but it does look very nice as a display!

  15. I'm surprise the second window didn't convince you to go in. Doesn't your wife NEED something like this for Christmas? :)

  18. I think those first two are blushing!

It is strange that so many of these mannequins have no features. And bald heads.

    I don't get it.

And then some have no heads at all.

    Figure that one out!
