Treva opened a year ago on West Hartford Center's main strip. I went past the restaurant in the morning and again at night.
So far I have not yet tried Treva. I hear that it is good and it gets good ratings on Open Table, Yelp, TripAdvisor and other rating sites. Knowing that the owner is a former chef at the Max restaurants -- my favorite local restaurant chain -- is the best recommendation. Here is a link to a bunch of photos that ran on the Hartford Courant's website showing Treva's food and other stuff.
The night shot is so pretty with the fairy lights Jack - I'm sure the food will be a treat!
ReplyDeleteLove the "day and night" shots and I hope that on your next stroll you will be able to tell us about the food and ambiance.

Good, locally owned restaurants deserve our support. Otherwise, we will homogenize our restaurant choices to chains.
ReplyDeleteYour two photos show why I prefer evening photos of urban scenes. They seem to have more charm.
I'll have the fish of the day please.... I like the night shot the best.
ReplyDeleteYou will have to give us your rating once you give it a try. It does look like it might be a good place to dine.
ReplyDeleteThe "before" and "after" of the day.
ReplyDeleteI'm pulled to the night one- and I think you should go and review it for us.
As others have commented, the evening shot looks quite inviting. I can't help but wonder, though, how much curb appeal it would have sans Christmas decorations.
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer the night shot. I love the warm, golden light. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I really love the night shot with the warm color and with the lovely Christmas wreaths and twinkling lights more visible! Looks like a great place to eat! Have a wonderful day, Jack!

I like it both ways Jack, very tastefully decked out for Chrissy! How exciting that they're making a movie, maybe we'll see you in one of the street scenes hey! and btw come on you know you don't need that much 'beauty sleep"!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Jack. I am always driven to the night shots. But the day one looks very nice. I went through the photos of the food. You need to go try it and let us know.
ReplyDeleteThe night shot makes it look so warm and welcoming.
ReplyDeleteI am the odd person out - I like the white & red of the day shot although the lights look so pretty at night!
ReplyDeleteA very charming façade, I love the decoration in the windows and thanks for the two views!

It looks lovely in the morning and at night is even more charming!
ReplyDeleteIt looks good on the outside. I would have to check out the inside.
ReplyDeleteI love the wreaths.
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast between day and night
ReplyDeleteYou just wrote a whole chapter on color temperature.
ReplyDeleteWEll I"m a warm, no flash kinda girl so I"m voting ( did you ask my opinion?) for the second. Go back and have a great meal and let us all know J.
