Old Sturbridge Village VI
Seen at Old Sturbridge Village. The City Daily Photo participants celebrate a theme day on the first day of each month. For November, the theme is "fences."
Fantastic capture and composition as always, Jack, and I do LOVE the fence/fences! Connecticut has certainly been in the news the past couple of days! Hope all is well for you and your family!
Very beautiful old-style fences, Jack.
ReplyDeletegreat shot for the theme, jack.
ReplyDeleteLooks like someone spent hours carving the ends of each rail to fit them into the upright posts.
ReplyDeleteThe buildings and the fence are weathered and rustic. Great combination.
ReplyDeleteI like this place more and more.
ReplyDeleteA great scene Jack - one I'd love to see on a calendar. Beautiful autumnal tones.
ReplyDeleteGreat theme day choice. Reminds me the western films.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful specimen. It's similar in style to the fence I have today, but yours is in much better condition. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely. Very nice Jack.
ReplyDeleteFine theme day post, Jack. I expected you to be spot on and you certainly did not disappoint. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteFences the way they have been built for hundreds of years! Perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love the way the eye is carried from the foreground to the background in the composition of this photo. Very skillful and artistic.
ReplyDeleteI love these old wooden fences!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I just knew you'd have one fine old wooden fence for us today. Beautiful shot Jack.

Beautiful shot Jack.
ReplyDeleteI love the way it criss-crosses around!
ReplyDeleteHope you are warm. ;-)
Now those are fences!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a classic wood fence. I like the sloping angle which provides a good view of the fence meandering around the property.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful little village.
ReplyDeleteLovely! You caught the plural in "fences" and have done the theme day proud! Very nice photo, but that's your standard, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI had a wonderful time taking pictures in Hartford and the surrounding area back in '08. Nice job capturing the essence of the place.
ReplyDeleteYou found the perfect vintage fence!
ReplyDeleteLoving that fence and all that lies behind it. What a beautiful place! I don't know as I would have wanted to leave....
ReplyDeleteAdorable landscape!
