The First Church of Christ Congregational occupies a prominent corner in West Hartford Center, across a wide median strip from many storefronts, including Citizens Bank.
It is Friday, so Newtown Area Photos is once again hosting Weekend Reflections. Take a look.
Do they pay themsleves huge bonuses as well
ReplyDeleteThat's a good lookin' reflection! The window is almost a mirror. The white of the snow & church and the blue sky really pop.
ReplyDeleteVery funny! Almost as funny as your wanting to string up that young man for fooling around! :-)
ReplyDeleteGood shot, though...nice, clear reflection. And there's some symmetry: One of these places will steal your money and the other your soul.
Have a great weekend!
A terrific juxtaposition of images. You have a sharp eye!
ReplyDeleteLove your title!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful reflection. The title gave me a little chuckle too!
ReplyDeleteVery handy if you forget your $$ for the collection plate!
ReplyDeleteExcellent reflection.

How creative of you to propose this juxtaposition... The title says it all... I wonder if the church has a little ATM for easy contributions. I do not make fun as the economy has caused many congregations to struggle with bills and to find the funds to help its members and the general public in this recession.
ReplyDeleteBon weekend,
G
I've really enjoyed your reflections. The shots are great, but your descriptions and back stories are often equally as entertaining.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive as the white of the snow enhance the white of the church... Well seen !
ReplyDeleteCool relfection! I like the lamp, the church and the tree.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! And COLD!
ReplyDeleteThe reflection is crystal clear...
Fabulous! all this white! the church is perfectly reflected!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant capture, I love those columns and so beautiful scenery reflected on the window!

Another perfect one. I like how the green literally makes the blue of the sky and the white of the church and snow pop out at me! And what a lovely, lovely church!
ReplyDeleteI totally love this! What an eye you have!!
ReplyDeleteSuperb reflection Jack!
ReplyDeleteLovely reflection! It is so clear that it almost looks like a mirror.
ReplyDeleteI like the bright blue sky :-)
ReplyDeleteGood one, Jack! And the title made me smile. :)
ReplyDeleteNice pairing for your reflection photo!
ReplyDeleteI like the bright pop of green in this color.
ReplyDeletePerfect title! Nice reflection!
ReplyDeleteA nice reflective photo! Are you done having snow blizzards yet?!
ReplyDeleteVery funny comment on Ocala DP! I wondered what those security guys were laughing at every time I walked by their special "security" room!
ReplyDeleteYou could do stand up. Or sit down. :-))
Beautiful church. The sacred and the profane in one shot.
ReplyDeleteThis looks the other way around: the temple in the moneychangers... I like the picture, the idea and the title!
ReplyDeleteA crisp clear reflection! Now there's a bank with soul.
ReplyDeleteGood post, with a clever title.
ReplyDeleteWell seen and well done!:)
