Naples Art Association

A juried show was held in the Naples Art Association's Von Liebig Art Center.

This ceramic figure by Diane Lublinski grabbed me.  Her father was a woodworker; she uses his woodworking tools to make impressions.  She incorporates her mother's jewelry.
Stars remind her of her family.  Shells, fish and coral reflect the artist's own love of the ocean.

I often enjoy watching the patrons almost as much as the art work. Artists' motivation is always interesting.

I do love the way the artistic mind works Jack, simple at times and then intricately complex like here.. there's something for all tastes ☺

That is an impressive piece of ceramic with quite a lot to admire on it.

Would be fascinating to watch this piece being created! Is that text on the figure's head? Wonder what it says?

That ceramic piece is absolutely beautiful. I would love to hear the artist talk about it, that would be very interesting.

That sculpture certainly is irresistible for the photographer.

Quite a powerful sculpture and the detail is impressive.

Interesting work. Unfortunately, the first thing that came to mind when I saw the sculpture was that gruesome scene in the movie "Alien."
