Suddenly It Is Fall


While I was away the gardeners at Blue Back Square planted the flower beds with chrysanthemums.


Mums always signal the end of summer in New England and the start of autumn.

    The colors are changing very quickly in my area as well.

    I bought mums a few weeks ago and then we got a heat wave for the last couple of weeks and they have died. I'm off to buy more today since the temps have gone back to normal!

    Fall colours are gradual here, but we've also had a weird couple of weeks weather wise with a warm spell that finally broke.

    We're getting fall colors here. I'm simply hoping we don't start getting frost before more of my cherry tomatoes ripen. Last year it was a tomato frost frustration massacre.
