Mayor Mike Bridge


Mike Peters was a longtime firefighter who was elected Mayor of Hartford in 1993.
Mike was immensely popular.  The bridge between the Connecticut Science Museum
and the Connecticut Convention Center is called the "Mayor Mike Bridge."

    Good that 'ordinary people' can become mayor - even better when they turn out to be special rather than ordinary.

    Memorial benches are wonderful ways to remember someone, esp if they are placed in appropriate and significant places in memory of the individuals.
