Murals at Happehatchee
Don't let a wall go undecorated. Fish swim on the wall of one Happehatchee utility building and
a "Save the Florida Panther" painting decorates a tool shed.
i love them both...are some of the fish painted like flags? i guess years ago panthers ran around here but people suspect they are gone now but there has been a local man that has claimed seeing one near his home and has taken a few pictures.
Love the fanciful fish mural. I see at least one of the fish is Italian with colors of the Italian flag. Is the Florida panther endangered? Panthers, or Mountain lions, have made a comeback in the upper Midwest. They are seldom seen, but they are here
The school of fish just tickles me. The panther mural reminds us at how endangered native animals are in an encroaching urban environment. We still have some cougars in the Oakland hills! Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

ReplyDeletePleasant murals, Jack, especially the first one with the fish.
ReplyDeleteNice to see walls are being decorated. I always think it shows people care about their environment just a bit more.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. Indistinguishable (largely!) from real life.
ReplyDeleteAhh! The Florida panther and the Florida Flag Fish!
ReplyDeleteI love the one with all the colourful fish swimming around.
ReplyDeleteThat panther is looking pretty cool sitting there under the rakes and shovels.
ReplyDeleteLove the fishy one!

ReplyDeleteI love the wee fishes! Hopefully the panthers can make a come-back!
ReplyDelete...a blank wall is a shame.
ReplyDeleteThe panther is quite a sight.
ReplyDeleteThose little fishes are awesome Jack. Very creative and colourful.
ReplyDeleteThe shading on the fish mural looks a little likes seaweed underwater. Nice effect.
