I was in Providence because of some things going on at Brown University, where I went to school.
The sight of students lounging on the main college green triggers a serious case of nostalgia in me.
Much of the education in college occurs on the green during relaxed conversations.
The "quiet quad" is the less busy space between the back of University Hall and the libraries.
Nothing like an early fall night on campus.
I hope you have a lot of sweet memories Jack. I like the second photo. The lighting and down low camera work well together.
ReplyDeleteNice perspective on the night shot Jack!
ReplyDeleteLike that night shot too, Jack! Back at school was always exciting and scary at the same time!
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is such a classic photo of college life.
ReplyDeleteI remember walking around the campus a bit when my daughter was looking at colleges. She ended up elsewhere but the whole feeling of Providence was pleasant.
ReplyDeleteWish I was there now...
ReplyDeleteGreen grass and fresh air conversation definitely aids the learning process 😊 Happy memories Jack!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images! Particularly like the evening shot.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful architecture- more appealing than my campus.
ReplyDeleteLove that first photo! Very reminiscent of Michigan State's campus. Loved my time there sprawling on the grass on the banks of the Red Cedar studying, before scurrying off to class or work.
ReplyDeleteThe top photo certainly is a classic college campus scene.
ReplyDeleteThe first shot is pure nostalgia and the second is purely beautiful. We didn't spend a lot of time lounging on what bits of lawn our campus had. Mostly we gathered to plot how to change the world. You can see how far that went by looking at Baby Boomers today.
