Bikers

On the way back to Hartford, I was finishing up a meal at Vanilla Bean Cafe in Pomfret.
Nine bikers roared into the parking lot.  They dismounted and swaggered in.
Members of a Christian motorcycle club.  Times have changed.

  1. At the school for the disabled where I work the local bike club raises thousands of pounds for the children every year. They also bring Christmas presents (changing into Santa outfits in our car park) and Easter eggs for the young people in our care. There are plenty of angels other than Hell's Angels these days.

  2. I hope they DO lots of good things.
We have Hells Angels here, but I have never seen any with a religious message as the bible on their "uniforms".

  6. I met a lady vicar recently who met her husband when he taught her to ride a motorbike. Now Jack, if I'm a biker girl does this make you a biker bloke?

  11. I've seen the same thing here in Washington State. The teddy bear on one motorcycle was a giveaway. Makes me wonder: What would Jesus ride?
