Handcrafted replicas of two of Christopher Columbus' three ships -- the Nina and the Pinta --
visited Tin City on Naples Bay last week. The ships were open for paying visitors,
but I just stood on the bridge and took a picture.

A bit of history that changed the world.
ReplyDeleteTwo beauties Jack, I prefer to take shots from afar also . Too close quarters for moi :)
ReplyDeleteI would have done the same. They are fun to look at from this point of view. Makes you wonder how they ever made the trip.
ReplyDeleteThat would be something I'd be drawn to. Terrific shot, Jack!
ReplyDeleteAlways love seeing sailing ships, and especially squared rigged classics. Those who made that trip were certainly hardy souls. Great to see the recreated ships.
ReplyDeleteYou found the perfect vantage point. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteYou made a good decision - nice pic of the 2 beauties, Jack!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing tall masted ships. Those look surprisingly small but still beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI also like seeing sailing ships of all sorts. I had heard that the Santa Maria fell off the edge?? Is that true??? :)
ReplyDeleteThose old ships can be really interesting. The rigging is pretty amazing.
