Out of the Jurisdiction: Willa!

Willa will be six months old next week.  She has grown up quite a bit from the first time she appeared here, just a week after she was born.  Willa is animated, grabs and grasps, sits by herself and speaks in a language known only to herself.    I rushed to take a photo for today's post before
she went down for a morning nap, so it is not the best.  There will be others!

  1. You have a lot to be proud of there. She's a real cutie. They grow so fast. I recently visited with my latest granddaughter, who also will be 6 mos old this month. I'm looking forward to more pics of her and from your travels in Africa.

  3. Beautiful eyes, rosebud lips, and rosy cheeks…this is not the best photo??!! Beg to differ with you, Jack. Who wouldn't love to hold, hug, and kiss her! Clarify your timeline, please. . .will you be gone 'til June or December (referring to yesterday's post).

  5. Oops, Yes, Kate, I will be away one month, until the beginning of DECEMBER. The seasons are upside down in South Africa, and summer is about to start, and I got mixed up. (Yesterday's post is now corrected.)

  8. Ooh, ooh - she's gorgeous. Such a cute rosebud mouth and a dimpled chin. I think I see a family likeness, some grandad genes in there. Enjoy every minute. I wouldn't blame you if you stayed until next June!

  12. I disagree, I think this is a terrific portrait of our sweet Willa. I'm thrilled we get some serious photos ops again. I knew she was going to be a beauty. Keep snapping Grandpa! We went to see them all.
