Does anyone like this pretty Victorian streetscape in Hartford's West End?
How about this one?
Since the United States Supreme Court's recent ruling that same-sex marriage
is a Constitutionally protected right, the American flag has often been sharing space
with the rainbow-colored flag representing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride.
There is lots to admire about Victorian houses.
ReplyDeleteThese homes are very well looked after. Nice eye candy paint jobs.
ReplyDeleteI do like old homes. They have so much character. I haven't seen any rainbow flags here except in parades, but maybe I haven't been paying attention.
ReplyDeleteThese streets would be favorites of mine if I were there. I love all those beautiful old homes. I especially like the trim on the last one.
ReplyDeleteI like these painted ladies.
ReplyDeleteLovely, colorful old homes!! I particularly like the first one, but they're all beautiful and definitely have "personality" that only old houses have and I do find that appealing!! You have such a variety of people and places, Jack, and that is one of the things that I do enjoy about your blog!! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big admirer of grand Victorian homes too... in all conditions.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are pretty homes!
ReplyDeleteI love it when people restore these old homes.
ReplyDeleteLove the houses and the beautiful gardens around them!
ReplyDeleteAmericans seem to be a nation of flag wavers and it is good to see the rainbow one included in that. As EG said we don't see many flags here outside homes and the rainbow one usually only during Pride Week.
Reminds me of parts of San Francisco - in a couple of ways.
ReplyDeleteNice homes. I would pick any of them.
ReplyDeleteI am fascinated by the one in the middle: a beautiful house with quite unusual colors...
ReplyDeleteI never get tired of looking at beautiful homes like these.
ReplyDeleteI love these old beauties!
ReplyDeleteI love Victorian Houses, Jack !
ReplyDeleteYep. I like the streetscape. Some of those old houses seem pretty huge.
