Naples National Art Festival

Yes, I went to another outdoor art festival a week or two ago.  It was a juried show with great stuff.

Edson Campos does almost photographically accurate drawings and paintings, often of nude or partially clothed women.  I posed him beside a clothed woman to satisfy the censors.

Diana Ahrens creates dazzlingly colorful abstract works with both paint and stained glass.

Thomas Styczynski made me jealous with his luminous silver photographs of
natural scenes with wondrous clouds.  "Black and white" is inadequate to describe them.
You can't see them very well here; click on the link to see some of his work.

Diane Lublinski is a ceramist who makes fanciful human forms.  She also
makes brightly colored organic forms inspired by coral reefs.

And Dennis Goodman shows very crisp and richly saturated photographs of scenes from nature.
If you click on the link, the home page photo will change every five seconds.
Sit and enjoy for a while.

  12. Diana's work particularly appeals to me- which is odd, because I don't usually go for abstract work.

  17. I'd have some but not all of these in my home. Each to their own taste. Edson's work reminds me of Richard Estes. Thomas is shooting infrared, something I've tried but never got the hang of.
