Oh la! I hope you were using a very long lens Jack, that's a little too close up and personal! They really are the most remarkable creatures, prehistoric!
That animal looks like I feel right now; give me some time to bask in the sun so I can regain some energy! Just saw your post of yesterday, and that is exactly where I should be right now!!
Yep, I'm with the others! I wouldn't want to count on his being cool, calm and collected either!! Terrific shots!! Looks as though they could use some braces on their teeth, they've got teeth prints on their lower lips!! But better their lips than my body parts!!!
Just keep your untanned behind out of the water and you'll be fine! And besides, they only eat once a month. The trick is to find out if they've eaten yet in January!
The greater the distance between me and an alligator the remember. I remember a very spooky air boat ride at night when the spotlight made the gators eyes glow bright yellow.
Great, great pictures of this cute and nice animal, Jack, but I'm happy to be many miles away !
ReplyDeleteToo close for my liking!
ReplyDeleteThe alligator looks cool, calm, collected and sleepy...but I wouldn't count on it!
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteQuite a critter. I like the textures your shots bring out in that hide. The gator looks quite in his element.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of hoping you were using your telephoto lens to get those close up shots. This guy is looking a bit sinister.

ReplyDeleteThey always look so prehistoric. Ah, but they'd make a nice pair of boots. Ah Birdman, you've gone and done it again... ticked someone off!
ReplyDeleteYou got really close, and got some fantastic results.

I would never be at ease in presence of these guys! Great pictures, by the way!
ReplyDeleteYikes, I'll keep my distance thanks.
ReplyDeleteSuch feral eyes they have!
ReplyDeleteFabulous close-ups, Jack!

ReplyDeleteI prefer to see their smile from far away ..
ReplyDeleteNice shots Jack! A little too up close and personal for me though. I prefer to look at them from a distance!
ReplyDeleteHe wants to call you "Lunch."

ReplyDeleteThey are so archaic looking.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful, amazing shots. And sitting here viewing them on my computer is entirely close enough for my comfort.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sharon and hope that you were using a loooong telephoto lens. Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteBises,
