Sanibel Lighthouse

Sanibel is a barrier island off the coast of southwest Florida.  There has been a lighthouse at
the eastern end since 1884.  The Coast Guard electrified it in 1962.
In 2010 the lighthouse was transferred
to the City of Sanibel.

  1. What beautiful white sands and temperatures to go with it (judging by the people relaxing on the beach). Nice old lighthouse too!

  13. Such white sand - and an interesting lighthouse, not as solid looking as some but I guess it does the job.

  14. Aaaah! Love Sanibel. You were a short walk from where I recuperated from cancer surgery last winter. (Not a bad place for R & R.)
