Fab start of race shot Jack.. did I mention that I have a phobia about that particular style of bike helmet, they totally creep me out, I know weird right :)
Fine shot of the bike race start. Bike races are fun to watch, but they are difficult to see as they rush by in a moment and then are gone miles down the road.
We have a similar event like this tomorrow. It's the "leave your car at home" day.

I don't ride much. My wife thinks it is dangerous because cars don't look out for cyclists.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a terrific shot for motion. All the helmets look quite similar.
ReplyDeleteI try my best to bike year round. I will have to find some winter tyres for my new bike soon.
ReplyDeleteExcellent!

ReplyDeleteJack it looks like you are about to get that rundown felling.
ReplyDeleteIt takes good strong legs (not to mention heart) to ride in a 100 mile race. Good for them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot!! And that is a LOT of cyclists!! Wonderful event to support biking!! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a lot of cyclists!

ReplyDeleteThat's quite a distance, Jack! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteMy husband would love to be in the middle of that race :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the start.
ReplyDeleteNice shot. Bicycle races are hard to photograph. Too much motion in a small amount of space.
ReplyDeleteHow fascinating that they all have the same hats. It makes them look like a swarm of insects about to bear down on us.
ReplyDeleteOne hundred miles? My legs feel sore just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteGood shot, you were in a great position.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great action shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of a great event!
ReplyDeleteNow here's a group you're not going to find marching around in old uniforms...
