Two Caras

Cara graduated from college recently with interests in writing, poetry and art history.
She works at the New Britain Museum of American Art, where this 1888 portrait
by  John Singer Sargent hangs.  The name of the painting?
"Miss Cara Burch."

The observant among you will note the frilled shoulders on both Caras' blouses.

  1. There's a very strong resemblance here Jack and not just the names..

  2. How long did it take you to pick the similar shoulders up? You do enjoy yourself at museums. You do know there are paintings there, right?

  7. The similarities are amazing. Are you sure Cara isn't a bit of a time traveler?

  10. My need for careful observation decreases with coaching. Sargent's Cara has a sour mouth and hard glare. I wonder if the painter was trying to say something.
