This is a typical Savannah house with a heavy ironwork railing.
Hundreds (maybe thousands) of people get up early on Saturday mornings, run around the streets,
and let other people splash them with colored paints. Strange people, these Georgians.
I waited for Janie to walk into the scene with the monument to General Nathaniel Greene (from Rhode Island).
Janie graduated from college and moved to Savannah three months ago. She got a job at a mortgage company and thinks life is great!
Juliette Gordon Low -- founder of the girl scouts -- was born in this house in 1860.
I walked around the city until the sun was low in the sky and the camera battery died.
Jack you should be an ambassador for Savannah. Today I enjoyed every photo.

ReplyDeleteSavannah is one of our more beautiful cities, I think. You got some great shots here. But, if you keep this up, you're never gonna get home. And if you're camera battery keeps dying, you're gonna have to go to too many funerals.

ReplyDeleteahhh, the color run. i participated last year in the netherlands, but at least here its a very commercial happening that had nothing to do with sports. i was a bit disappointed.
The Colour Run took place on the nearest beach to where I live last sunday and I didn't know, so I missed it. Well, I would be there taking photos... only! :-)
