Gordon Drive

It is hard to beat this landscaping, isn't it?

  1. It has it all--color, texture, layers, shade.

  2. It's hard to beat the angle you chose to shoot this from too! Stunning!

  3. Impressive, that's sure! As are all those great houses you showed those last days!

  4. If this landscaping is part of a private residence, I think it would qualify as a mansion.

  9. It is so beautiful. In my youth we used to go on Sunday drives looking at beautiful homes in the area around Pasadena, CA. You have shared a super collection from Naples over recent days. Really enjoyed it!

  10. I'm sure it can be beaten but I'm enthralled by the trees... They are what make it so special...

  11. It's absolutely lovely. Manicured perfectly…with just enough color and variation…and staggered heights of vegetation -- yes, very nice indeed.

    The SRQ Tour would include (in no particular order):

    * Downtown (Look for City Hall!)

    * Bayfront Park (with a look-see at 'Unconditional Surrender', aka: The Kissing Sailor Statue; as well as the Season of Sculpture)

    * St. Armands Circle

    * Lido Beach

    * City Island (includes: Ken Thompson Park, Mote Marine, Save Our Seabirds and the Ski-a-Rees water ski show on Sundays; If you like good, no-fuss burgers visit the New Pass Bait Shop. Yes, they sell bait...and tasty burgers and cold beer right on the water.)

    * Ringling Museum of Art and the Ca'd'Zan (Fabulous!)

    You could hop off I-75 at University Pkwy and head west until it deadends into the museum….then meander toward downtown…or head to St. Armands (like most visitors).

    If you make it up this way, have a great time! And…the SDP Editor-in-Chief will be happy to consider a guest SDP submission through the eyes of a different CDP blogger!

  12. Not a blade of grass out of place and a perfectly sculpted garden. What a pleasant blend of flowers, shrubs and trees. Your yard?

    and now... sometimes i think back to those perfectly manicured little patches of green and miss them.. :)

  14. I'd call this "full employment" landscaping. But then one must keep the minions occupied... 8-)
