The annual Greek Festival is being held this weekend at
St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church on Airport-Pulling Road in Naples.
Father Philemon Patitsas, priest of the church.
Panayotis and his father, Fotis, modeling some of the headwear they were selling.
Lots of good food!
Greeks seem to like bright colors!
Pantelis, "The Greek Artist."
His artwork recalled beautiful places I visited last June in Greece.
A Greek Festival in Naples?
ReplyDeleteThat's new to me, great!
You had me at food!
ReplyDeleteGreek festivals are always so much fun as are the culinary delights. Love the name of the church and parish!!
ReplyDeleteSo much to see and discover. Amazing colors too. I could see myself spending a lot of time there.

The sunglasses make for a rather odd look for a priest!
ReplyDeleteWe have a Greek festival here, but it's in the summer.
Love Greek food. Wonderful images.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun. Greeks like to eat, I've heard! And drink. :)
ReplyDeleteWe had some Greek food the other day in Homosassa Springs. The menu had a lot of words I had not heard before. I asked the waitress what they were, and she put her hands on her waist, looked me in the eye and said: "Hey, it's Greek to me!"
I like Greek food and I love those Mediterranean colours!
ReplyDeleteSt. George's on Fairfield Ave in Hartford has an excellent Greek festival every year in June. Fabulous food and usually mobbed all four days.
ReplyDeleteFab photos of the festival Jack, did you go home with a new hat? I would have been tempted hugely by the colourful china.
