"Red touches yellow kills a fellow," yeah, it is a coral snake, and not the similar scarlet king snake which is non-poisonous. Think I'll sleep more expensively, and more safely.
My son lives in Texas where there are both coral and king snakes. Remembering the poem could be a life saver. And what I don't know is legion. The older I get the more I know, I don't know.
This is such a convincing trompe l'oeil. Someone has amazing talent. The advertising campaign? Not so much. Thanks, Jack, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
I prefer to sleep safe!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder it's cheap!
ReplyDeleteyeah, i don't understand that advertising at all!
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on this one. Maybe a haunted hotel?
ReplyDeleteImagine that!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo way! LOL
Léia
Ohh, not sure about that!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful!
ReplyDeletelol I am glad you wrote an explanation!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this one. Visions of snakes do not make for a restful sleep.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly started off my day with a gasp and a giggle, Jack!! Thanks!! Fun shot for the day! Hope you have a great week!!
ReplyDeletePretty snake. Just don't try to pet one. Or roll over on one in your sleep.
ReplyDeleteNot even for free :))
ReplyDeleteScary, but picturesque...

ReplyDeleteIt couldn't be cheap enough for me with that snake there, Jack! You are lucky to be back down south in the warmth!!
ReplyDeleteYikes, no thanks!
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrrrrrrr!(shouting while running away!)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I hate snakes but I'd still try it. In fact, I'm more afraid of the 'sleep cheap' than I am of the snakes...
ReplyDeleteLove the header, Jack. Will pass on sleeping cheap :).
ReplyDeleteDoesn't really sound like a good sales pitch! :)

Not in a million years !
ReplyDeleteIs it better (or worse) to sleep with a coral snake or the fishes?
ReplyDeleteNot even if I was homeless.
ReplyDeleteThis is very realistic and just enough to give me a shudder.
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie

ReplyDeleteHmmm, I'd think twice about that one. Such a fun composition.
ReplyDeleteI'd be scared out my wits.
ReplyDeleteThis gives me the creeps!
ReplyDeleteIf you sleep you don't see the coral snake...
ReplyDeleteI agree with you! Although I'm not afraid of snakes, I definitely don't think I would sleep better knowing one was in my walls.
ReplyDeleteReally?? Is that a real, living snake? (As in, did it move??)

ReplyDeleteThis is very well done! I thought it was tridimentional.
ReplyDeleteNOT. ON. YOUR.LIFE!
