Bang was born in the Philippines and moved to Dubai when she was young. Dubai became too expensive, so she decided to move to the USA twelve years ago. She had family in Iowa
and Florida; she visited Iowa in November when it was gray and cold.
That convinced her to move to Naples instead.

and me. I had to take a second photograph to hide my face.

I don't think you need to hide your face Jack. The portraits really feels warm and sunny.
ReplyDeleteMethinks you're a hit with the young girls of Naples! Very cool shot what with the sunglass reflections. I didn't see you anywhere. But I think there's some old guy sitting on the sidewalk! :)
ReplyDeleteYou know how to economize. . .3 portraits in one photo! Aare you concentrating on portraits this year?
ReplyDeleteA beautiful young lady and a very clever reflection shot.
ReplyDeletei like the way you photographed her and the reflections are fun!
ReplyDeleteI am just now catching up with your blog, as we were away in the Galapagos and Peru for the holidays. I am sure that you are pleased to be in warm Florida taking photos of people like your recent subjects rather than being up in Connecticut at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteVery warm and striking portrait (I also loved your portrait from yesterday) - and talk about super-efficient indeed, 3-for-1!
ReplyDeleteGreat portrait shot! Beautiful Jack.
ReplyDeleteSo much to see in this wonderful shot, Jack!
ReplyDeleteSympa et joli sourir ;o)
ReplyDeleteJ'adore this shot Jack.. not sure how long it will take me to get confident enough to get this up close and personal :)
ReplyDeleteI do love your "people" shots, Jack! You definitely have a talent for them!! And what a terrific reflection for the day!! Enjoy your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteBang is a very pretty lady... with an explosive name ! Nice catch on the shades reflections, Jack.
ReplyDeleteAh, Jack, that's how you look through other people's eyes. This is both a fine portrait and a great reflection.
ReplyDeleteI like her and her name...
ReplyDeleteInteresting portrait, Jack, even if the reflections are very dominant and eye-catching... but that was your purpose, right?
ReplyDeleteLooks like twins in your lenses.
ReplyDeleteAnother super portrait and reflection, Jack!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo with a self portrait...nicely done...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely image and nice reflections.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have been enjoying the company of lovely young ladies!
ReplyDeleteAnother fine portrait, Jack!
ReplyDeleteI inadvertantly caught myself in a pic for my own post today...
Not surprised after a November visit to Iowa she chose to live in Florida. I am sure there is a great deal more to do in Florida as well as much warmer. Love the fun reflection by the way.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot and reflection.
ReplyDeleteNow that is clever and, may I say, eye-catching composition.
ReplyDeleteIs that you seated/kneeling on the floor back there? I can see you going through all sorts of trouble to get the photo you want but who wouldn't with such pretty girls around? :)
ReplyDeleteRain and cold vs. sunshine ? I would have shared Bang's choice completely.
