Lions in South Africa? Sure, though we didn't go to the bush country to see them on this trip.
But, lions in Naples?
But, lions in Naples?
Yes, in front of two different antiques stores in Olde Naples.
The alpha male looks confident. The other does not.
These are fun Jack.
ReplyDeleteRoaring good photos.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct. The eyebrows on the stone lion add a tentative and timid expression.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful sculptures, but I think seeing lions in the bush is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Sorry you missed that in South Africa.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that one in middle looks like it's been caught in the headlights.
ReplyDeleteOh, fun ones for the day, Jack!! I love the look on the second ones face!! Roaring good indeed!! Hope you have a great new week!
ReplyDeleteMy cat looks scarier than that last one. Especially when her food bowl becomes bare.
ReplyDeleteGood one, Jack! The top guy is definitely the alpha of this group.
ReplyDeleteEverywhere there are kings, there are lions..
ReplyDeleteThe top guy is even more fierce than Saltaire's legendary stone lions.
ReplyDeleteYour post is great fun. Never seen a frightened looking lion before. Yep, those lions sure get around.
ReplyDeleteOur first lion is certainly a fierce looking fellow!
ReplyDeleteUh, nice kitties...best leave the live ones in the wild.
ReplyDeleteA good trio to compare.
ReplyDeleteWell, they got lions in Venice, why not Naples?
ReplyDeleteAw, I want to go up and comfort the last lion.
ReplyDelete:))
ReplyDeleteYou got a lot of lions around there...
