Lions

Lions in South Africa?  Sure, though we didn't go to the bush country to see them on this trip.

But, lions in Naples?

Yes, in front of two different antiques stores in Olde Naples.
The alpha male looks confident.  The other does not.

The lion in Bonita Springs is trying to muster some
ferocity, but I am not too scared.

  1. You are correct. The eyebrows on the stone lion add a tentative and timid expression.

  2. They are wonderful sculptures, but I think seeing lions in the bush is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Sorry you missed that in South Africa.

  5. My cat looks scarier than that last one. Especially when her food bowl becomes bare.

  8. The top guy is even more fierce than Saltaire's legendary stone lions.
