Jean is The Pelican Lady. Check out her earring.
She heads the volunteers at the wildlife rehabilitation program at the
Conservancy of Southwest Florida.
They take in injured turtles and panthers and raccoons . . . and pelicans . . .
and restore them to health before returning them to nature.
This is an iPhone photo. Not as sharp as some, but not bad.
Volunteers who do this work are appreciated.

ReplyDeleteIt's a great photo!! When I first looked at it I thought she had a tattoo! Then realized it was her earring! Ah, the eyesight is stumbling just like the rest of this old broad!!!

Lovely smile and sweet earrings!
ReplyDeleteDifficult work. Sometimes the patients don't see the value and put up enough of a fight to be dangerous. Good for Jean and her cohorts!
