Park Road is a street of small stores and restaurants in the southern part of West Hartford. Every October the business association sponsors a charming little parade. Here are some photos. There will be more this coming week. The top photo shows the street amid the beginnings of fall foliage. And a spectator with foliage-colored hair.
(NightFall is an upcoming art event featuring larger-than-life puppets.)
Looks like a lot of fun. Is this in celebration of fall's arrival. Love all the color in the trees. I'll be the air smells good these days.
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots to see in that parade. I love the puppet-head guys! But, what strikes me the most is those wonderful fall colors. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI see beautiful Autumn colors there, your pictures are wonderful, I like a lot the kids picture, it's a cool parade!

ReplyDeleteI do love your colorful trees and what a fun parade indeed! I'm looking forward to more to come as well. Hope you're enjoying a beautiful, sunny day Jack!! I would tell you to go have fun, but somehow I think you do that without being told!!
ReplyDeleteYesterday must have been parade day. From your photos I would say yours was better than mine. At least you had better weather.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice parade!
ReplyDeleteYay! You have fall colors! Still warm and humid here in Charleston.
ReplyDeleteParades are fun, I like them!
ReplyDeleteWhat nice scenes!
Interesting, funny, colorful and .. very american for european eyes!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! You have more colour change than we have so far.
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe at the colour of those trees in the top shot. All trees are still green here and it seems summer is back, which I love, of course! :-)
ReplyDeleteReally cool to see a community come together like this.

Very golden in those trees!
ReplyDeleteWow, look at those trees. I like the rabbit too.
ReplyDeleteThis gets me wondering why it is we all like parades. Is it because people love to look at one another and this is a perfect opportunity? We like uniforms? Costumes?
ReplyDeleteThose little boys are sweet in their uniforms.
ReplyDeleteAnother happy day in Hartford.
ReplyDeleteI think small parades are fun as they have a homey, neighbourly feel.
ReplyDeleteThat second photo is super-charming and adorable! Love that small parade feel, almost makes me want to clap along to the paraders.
ReplyDeleteYou sure are good at parading!
ReplyDeletesuch pretty fall colors, those trees! :)
