Lyme Art Association
Next year the Lyme Art Association celebrates its centennial. It offers educational programs, but its main focus is a gallery presenting representational art in numerous seasonal exhibitions every year.
What a great looking gallery! And, as always, you've gotten some terrific shots! I love the painting in the last one! Hope you're getting ready for a lovely weekend!! Enjoy!
Galleries are always nice; the educational component is always a blessing to the community, whether it's about understanding art or about how to make it. And the challenge is always about having enough cash to keep the doors open.
I've visited there a number of times. It's not far from where I live. I never tried to photograph the exhibits though. I should've asked if it would be ok. I know some museums don't like their art photographed. Nice pictures though!
Nice exhibit.

ReplyDeleteYour city and New England in general has so many little cultural gems. You are fortunate.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of great pictures! Exhibits and galleries like these aren't as easy to find as they used to be. Glad this one is celebrating 100 years!
ReplyDeleteI like it when an art gallery behaves like an art gallery :) too many of them get sidetracked with other activities these days.
