Sunset

Last night I went to the riverfront.  The sun was setting over downtown Hartford and casting reflections of the skyline on the Connecticut River.  This photo is straight from the camera, with no editing.

If you like photos with reflections, please visit James' blog, Weekend Reflections. This post is also linked to Skywatch Friday.

Yesterday I was asked why so many cities have a train station called Union Station.  Google and I looked into that question.  Union Station is one in which many different railroad lines share a single terminal.  You can read about that here.

  7. This looks like the type of sunsets that we have in Phoenix, except we don't have a river to capture reflections.

That's so funny that you looked up the name Union Station. I did the same thing. Blogging opens all kinds of educational doors.

  19. Straight out of the camera? A terrifying idea. But, unlike my habits, you did it right the first time. Beautiful work.

  24. Beautiful scenery. I am in India for six months and it's monsoon season. Sadly,I'm not seeing many sunsets or sunrises!
