Comstock, Ferre & Company is America's oldest continually operating seed company. It was founded in 1820 on the main street of Wethersfield, Connecticut.
There was a time when Comstock, Ferre supplied seed to the whole country. Today it seems to specialize in supplying heirloom garden seeds.

Another grand old build that is still is well maintained. That`s what I like to see.
Somehow, this seems like a perfect setting for a garden shop.
Fine building. Even better to know that it is still being used for it's intended purpose. Good to know it still exists.
What a great, old building! I agree with Andy, I do love to see them well maintained and still used!! The best of all!
Fabulous old building, Jack! Heirloom seeds are big business these days - a good thing.
Charming building for sure, like many you have shown us.
