Like you, I am not a car nut, but I have aimed a camera lens at details on old cars.
Julie cares a lot more about how our cars look. I once made the mistake, when her car needed two new tires, of going down to the tire store and buying two tires that were similar but did not match the two tires that were already on her car. I had the two matching tires installed on one side, so each side looked the same.
Julie went nuts. I defended myself by saying that no one would notice that the tires were different than the other side because you can only see one side of the car at a time. Who walks 360 degrees around a car looking at the tires?
She did not accept that explanation. I had to go out and get two more matching tires, even though the tires they replaced had plenty of tread on them.

I'm so pleased you aimed your camera at this classy red beauty. Eye candy indeed!
1940-ish? Cool, artsy shot!
Composition. Spot on. Just like I would have attempted to capture it.
Varooooooooooooooom!
I can certainly see why! Gorgeous.
This is SO eye-catching! Fabulous composition, Jack.
My dad would be over the moon to get a chance to see a car that old.

I do not know much about cars, but this one is a real wonder! Great picture, by the way!
It would have stopped me in my tracks too, Jack! Great shot.
Great grillwork photography.
Wonderful colour and composition. I would not have resisted the shot either.
I am showing Mr LOL what it is that I am looking at on my laptop all the time. We paused at this shot for a long time :).
Fantastic ! Can't stop looking at it !
Amazing, the color is perfect for this car too.

PS and for the record this was PROBABLY before my time.......but .......maybe not.
I am a car fanatic... so I really like that picture!
Candy apple red, no less. I drooled over such things when I was 12 or 14. Now I drive a black Honda and just get on with it.
Smooth and shiny! Those autos are mesmerizing, aren't they?
such colors!!!
Oh my, a true beauty - they don't make 'em like that anymore! (Why can't functional things always be beautiful?)
Great shot Jack! Love that shiny red. :D
