Daytripping: Sol Lewitt VII

Some Lewitt works at MassMOCA are geometric.  Some are irregular.  Some look good glimpsed through a window.

  1. Still not my cup of tea, but hypnotic, I must admit..

  2. Nice peeking-through-the-window shot. These colors and swirls, Jack, make feel like I'm in Willie Wonka's chocolate factory. Btw, while it was not the good Doc Ford who I was interviewing, I probably will be at his place this weekend.

  3. Very impressive! Not something I would hang in my house, though. ;)

  4. Now these might make good stained-glass windows in a toy factory!

  11. The glimpse through the window is perfect. I do enjoy those crazy colors, so long as they're in short doses. (I was also surprised to learn about Alessandro de' Medici, the things one learns from art exhibits!)

  17. I'd be afraid it would keep me up. Sort of the artistic equivalent of a triple espresso.

  18. The panel on the top shot reminds me of a Frank Stella's work I recently saw at a museum here. Love the composition below.

  19. The type of art in this post is definitely not the kind I understand. Seems like anyone with a paintbrush and paint could do this. But I do LOVE the art in the March 15th post.
