Tulips and flowering shrubs and GREEN! It is spring!
No, it isn't. I lied.
But, inside the Connecticut Convention Center this past weekend it felt like spring. Blogger friend Sue attended the Connecticut Flower and Garden Show and loaned me this photo. Many other photos from the show are on her
Idyll Haven blog. (Thanks, Sue.)
You are going to have to wait for another month up north before spring really comes. Be patient.
There are some daffodils outside my building and it's snowing...
ReplyDeleteA fore-taste of things to come Jack. I thought you'd hopped a jet to Amsterdam.
ReplyDeleteYou had me fooled until I read the text. I thought it was too early for tulips back East.
ReplyDeleteDear Jack, thanks for this adorable energy, a great start of my day, with Spring feeling! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so tired about winter this year. :(
Léia
hurrah
ReplyDeleteWait another month? Spoken like a true snowbird. Having fun in Florida, aren't you? I thought maybe this was a scene from your Floridian backyard. But no...
ReplyDeleteWe hardly get spring in Toronto. But I'm looking forward to less snow!
ReplyDeletePretty scene you caught here. :)
Something to temp all you east coast gardeners.
ReplyDeleteI was just going to say that tulips aren't even blooming down here yet, although we have azaleas budding. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteYes, very pretty and nice to think of what is to come soon. For us, though, as Spring arrives at home, we'll go back to sea. That's OK, though, because next year the schedule reverses and we'll be home in Spring and Fall.
ReplyDeleteI missed the Flower show this year. I've attended the past two years, but had other obligations this year. It is always a lovely show and is truly one of the first signs of spring here in Connecticut.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely something to look forward to Jack. Spring will be here before you know it..
ReplyDeleteOh, yes!! I will be so happy to see some color!! I am tired of GRUMPY GRAY, even though we've had a very mild winter!! Happy Monday, Jack! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI saw some crocus leaves poking up last week in a garden on the south side of a house so spring will soon be here in Toronto. I'm always happy to see March arrive!
ReplyDeleteA month til spring? Let's hope not. Now that the garden show is in the rear view, it's time to get out and do some real gardening.
ReplyDeleteIt will be here soon.
ReplyDeleteHope springs eternal.
ReplyDeleteReal tulips. Faux spring. Works for me!
ReplyDeleteI want to believe!
ReplyDeleteAh, tulips!
ReplyDeleteSpring! Let it come, let it come! :-) Lovely shot.
ReplyDeleteNo tulips here either if that can make you feel better :(
ReplyDeleteWe're still thoroughly buried by snow here.
