The Albano Ballet Company is presenting its version of The Nutcracker this season for the
50th year. It has always been a shoestring operation financially, although I understand the Albano Ballet's performances are good. This window sign advertising performances at Central Connecticut State University is found in a small antiques store on Park Road in West Hartford.
such an evocative image.
ReplyDeleteGreat window. Wonderful capture Jack.
ReplyDeleteYou're getting pretty artsy here, Jack! But I like. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteRe your question about the sweet 16: She has a $50K wedding to look forward to! :-)
I hope they keep their funding. I always enjoy seeing The Nutcracker.
ReplyDeleteThat's the way to get the word out!
ReplyDeleteA charming display.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy "The Nutcracker" very much and I love seeing different versions of the ballet.
ReplyDeleteYes, something almost magical at night.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember how many times I've seen my nieces dance in this ballet at Christmas Jack, loved it every time!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to go? Ballet usually bores me. Not opera though.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest daughter was a ballet dancer, so I've seen my share, but always enjoy The Nutcracker, part of the season! Great shot and post for the day, Jack! Enjoy a fun weekend, Jack -- and if you're not being good, I promise not to tell Santa!!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I like the almost naïf look of this window.
ReplyDeleteI like how they have used their product to construct the window and advertised at the same time for the ballet company!
ReplyDeleteYou have to give them credit with that window dressing.
ReplyDeleteInteresting combination of advertising. I like it.
ReplyDeleteThis a great ballet to take kids to. Mine loved it.
