Runners. Walkers. Cyclists. Rollerbladers. Skateboarders.
Dog walkers. My street is always busy.

Except in the late afternoon.
The City Daily Photo bloggers are posting photos today to illustrate the theme of "my street."
Take a look. Both of these photographs were taken in late September, when I thought
"my street" was going to be the October theme.

That second one... is the Beaver home?
ReplyDeleteYou're fortunate to live in such a lovely neighborhood. I love the tree-lined streets and shadows seen in the late afternoon. Nice photos.
ReplyDeleteA lovely neighborhood and not a lot of traffic around, which is even better!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous street with lots of trees and lots of shade.
ReplyDeleteIt must be "siesta time" in the pm. Yes, I agree that we who live in these kinds of neighborhoods are very fortunate.
ReplyDeleteJack, you live in a beautiful neighborhood. Love the light and quiet of this street, even if it is full of runners. They don't make much noise.
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteA lovely neighborhood indeed, Jack! And great captures for the day! It does look so quiet in the late afternoon! Peaceful! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNo one would complain about your early morning traffic.
ReplyDeleteWell, no wonder you live on that street what with all the beautiful women running by! What does your long-suffering wife say when you have your nose to the window for hours on end? Heh? :-))
ReplyDeleteYou're living in a beautyful place!
ReplyDeleteI really like the looks of your street. Typical Americana. Happy theme day, Jack!
ReplyDeleteExactly my idea of a Hartford street, Jack! So peaceful!! Mine is a rather gritty urban street and not terribly blog-worthy so I have passed on this theme but I am enjoying seeing all the posts.
ReplyDeleteJust as I imagined. Beautiful in every season.
ReplyDeleteIt looks very pleasant, with all the trees and the wide grass verges. You must have to do a lot of sweeping up leaves in the fall though.
ReplyDeleteA lovely wide shady street with lots of action .... Very nice Jack.
ReplyDeleteLovely. What a difference trees make.
ReplyDeleteA very nice interpretation of the theme. I like the contrast of the runners against the still afternoon. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you live on a beautiful street Jack. I have the Mercedes Marathoners blowing down my street in the winter when it's too cold for anyone to be out half nekkid running!
ReplyDeleteV
Beautiful neighbor hood.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful street. Also filled with beautiful people or people planning to stay that way it seems.
ReplyDeleteThere can't be much traffic if they run down the middle of the road like that.
You live in a very calm neighborhood, you are fortunate.
ReplyDeletei love your street! what a beautiful afternoon glow!
ReplyDeleteLove your tree lined street Jack, I would definitely enjoy an afternoon nap here.
ReplyDeleteYour street looks lovely, Jack. Hope to see red leaves on the Japanese Maple Tree next year. I would love to keep one but I'm afraid it won't survive the heat in summer.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice area. I love all the big trees.
ReplyDeleteI would so love the drive up and down your street and look at those lovely homes. Super shot!
ReplyDeleteLove that afternoon shot! Great shadows.
