I will show occasional photos of Hartford's major art museum, the Wadsworth Atheneum, in the coming weeks and months. The Wadsworth is the oldest public art museum in the United States. It is on the site of the home of Daniel Wadsworth, whose bust is shown above. I liked the bright light streaming in behind Daniel and the floating bust reflected in the glass doors.Click here for more photographs with reflections.
What a lovely serene shot and a good reflection too Jack.
ReplyDeleteOne of the great museums of the world!
ReplyDeleteAlway enjoy your museum photos and I noticed the fine capture of the reflections immediately! Have a great week-end, Jack!
ReplyDeleteIt makes for a very interesting shot. Daniel appears to be quite handsome.
ReplyDeleteLucky you to have a "major" art museum - our little down doesn't even have a "minor" one, so keep showing us!
ReplyDeleteGood eye Jack!

ReplyDeleteGreat reflection. Ol' Daniel's got a smirk on his face, though. I wonder what that's all about?
ReplyDelete... And I also like the colour of the walls.
ReplyDeleteGreat composition!
ReplyDeleteVery nice and neat reflection of the bust! It almost looks like it is floating in the air!
Thanks for sharing Jack.

ReplyDeleteI'd give up time to visit this one.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of the second sculpture beyond the doors which appears as a ghost-like image.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Jack.
