Who knows what goes on in here? I think it is an ancillary building for Aetna Life Insurance Company. As one drives past at night, the building is dark but the entrance hall with a wall-sized historic photograph is lit. I always liked it, so I visited one evening when I had a camera and tripod with me.
For awhile, I thought there is a group of people standing inside the lobby !
ReplyDeleteIt's an insurance company. Anything goes! Nice photo, though.
ReplyDeleteWhat are all those people doing in there at night? :-)
ReplyDeleteIt really is a nice mural and it's great that they have it lit up at night.
I like the effect of the large photograph inside.
ReplyDeleteI don't know Jack, if you were passing by here at night you could get that feeling that you were being watched haha! It's kind of spooky in a funny sort of way.
ReplyDeleteLooks like they're all in there, posing for the photo!! That could be pretty spooky late at night after one too many glasses of wine!! I love it! Hope your week is off to a great start, Jack!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Hartford reunion class of 1905
ReplyDeleteWas that the Aetna gang lining up for a family portrait? Very cool image. Nice work on this night shot, Jack -- not easy.
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot! Great shot, Jack.
ReplyDeleteThe bike traffic goes in both directions - there is a blue line dividing the trail into 2 and I think all the bikes in my shot were on the correct lane.
Love that old photo.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering why there were men in bowler hats... :-)
ReplyDeleteNeat that they have a photo there in the lobby. You should sneak in one day and take a closer look! :)
ReplyDeleteThis one reminds me so much of a program on TV called, "Dark Matter" that was on last night. Creepy.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoy seeing the buildings today and yesterday. Nice shots.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they're going to get a pay-rise, however long they sit there protesting. And it looks like they've been sitting there a long time!
ReplyDeleteNice that they keep it lit at night like that. It really does show off the photograph!
ReplyDeleteIts name reminds me of a volcano...
ReplyDeleteHe he he!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought they were real people with costumes for some kind of celebration!
