Here are two fall photos from the northwest corner of the state. The first photo is on Mountain Road in Norfolk. I am a big fan of back-lighting in the fall, when the trees are changing colors.
This one is on a farm off Route 44, on the way into Norfolk. This year the yellow foliage seemed to appear first. I am just starting to see lots of orange and red in the past few days.
Oh! FALL, I like !
ReplyDeleteSpectacular landscape, the colors of the trees are so beautiful!

Nice yellow tones here Jack.
ReplyDeleteFrom Stonington to Norfolk...you certainly get around Jack!
ReplyDeleteI would also be a fan of back-lighting, but never get pictures like these!
ReplyDeleteGlorious colours, shades and shadows Jack. While Spring's beauty lies in the various blossoms emerging, Autumn with its rich tones appeals to me most. Thanks for sharing these lovely scenes.
ReplyDeleteLovely autumn colours, Jack.
ReplyDeleteI never tire of the country in Autumn. I can see why you like back lighting in Autumn, it does increase the drama and beauty.
ReplyDeleteJack, you are correct about the beauty of the back light on the country road. That is a stunning image.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the backlighting. It makes the colorful trees just glow!
ReplyDeleteThe mellow light is fabulous Jack...are you using a new lens or filter?
ReplyDeleteExcellent job. I miss Connecticut this time of year.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors, wonderful light and terrific captures, Jack! I do love Autumn!!
ReplyDeleteI"m a big fan of that top shot. That ziz zag wooden fence just leads the eye down the road, and you're right about the backlighting Jack. And for what it's worth, color was the best idea! HA

ReplyDeleteI can see why you are a big fan of back-lighting in the fall. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIconic of New England in the fall. Looks like a lovely road to travel, unless, of course, it is the road less traveled!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful landscapes, Jack. I am glad you find the time to show us. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you were able to get out into the countryside to capture theses shots. The reds are just showing up in bits & drabs here too.
ReplyDeleteAhh you'll have me swooning in a minute!
ReplyDeleteBig time, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the golden color.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is so photogenic, great job, Jack.
ReplyDeleteAlways cuttin' through CT heading to NJ. Never get out here. After these, just might have to visit.
