Miracle League

A baseball field for disabled children was installed this spring on Asylum Avenue in West Hartford.  The field's surface is rubberized, so that children in wheel chairs, walkers and other walking aids can play baseball.

"Let's Play Ball for All."

  5. Reminds me of the Civitans Baseball Clinic I photographed last spring for kids with special needs. The Birmingham Barons came out and it was a great morning for all. This rubberized field is a great idea.

  7. Wonderful. I just hope that some of the interest in the recent Paralympics will filter down to provide more facilities like this in the UK.
